No Soup for You!

Dinner tonight was so delicious I had to share.

Yesterday morning before returning back to the city, we stopped at the downtown Sacramento Farmers’ Market to supplement our weekly CSA bags with some additional produce.  Among my favorite finds were the heirloom tomatoes for $1.95/lb (we got over 5 lbs!) and oyster mushrooms (they taste like chicken ;)).

Tonight we pooled our produce and made a sort of spicy, vegetable, miso soup (and by “we” I mean The Chef).  Try not to drool on the computer.  Below is the list of mostly organic, locally sourced ingredients.

From Downtown Sac Farmers’ Market:

Oyster Mushrooms, Heirloom Tomatoes, Lemon Basil (garnish) & Thai Chili

From last week’s CSA bag:

Three types of Squash & Red Potato

Other:

Miso Paste, Egg Noodles, Onion, Garlic & Sriracha (on the side)

I’m turning in early tonight.  I feel like I’ve been burning the candle at both ends with early runs, late work nights and travel weekends.  I need me some sleepy time.
